The inaugural event at Wiston\, West Sussex in May 2009 attracted 15\,000 people\, making it the biggest one-day Christian event in the UK. In 2010\, with an additional site in the Midlands\, over 25\,000 came together over 3 days to worship and have fun together\, and with just one event at Wiston House in both 2011 &\; 2012\, BCDO again saw 20\,000 join in celebration.

The BigChurchDayOut is about people and faith\, music and worship\, activities\, families\, and just being together. There'\;s something for everybody\, from a nice cup of tea with a Chamber Orchestra\, to high energy worship\, and some of the best Christian music the world has to offer... it'\;s all about being '\;church'\; together. Our aim is to encourage and inspire people to press in for all that God has called them to do\, both locally and further afield\, and to provide a relaxed environment to introduce friends and family who have little or no experience of church. It will take place at Halstead Village Hall as with our successful service to commemorate the Jubilee last year\, with the service at 11am followed by lunch at 12.30pm. Come and enjoy the celebration. We'\;ll provide Coronation Chicken\, British bangers and salads. Can you please bring a dessert to share? Bring along your own drinks\, plates\, cutlery and if the weather is good a picnic rug or chairs! And why not wear a crown for fun?

Village gardens in Halstead will once again be open to raise funds for St Margaret'\;s Church. In addition to the gardens\, there will be an art exhibition\, a plant sale\, a classic car display and refreshments available throughout the day.

Tickets are £\;6 in advance and are available to purchase online (or from Hancock'\;s\, the Post Office\, Rose &\; Crown or The Cock Inn)\, or £\;8 on the day. Alternatively you can phone the ticket office on 01959 533201.
