BA (Hons), PGCE, ALCM

Choir Trainer, St Margaret's
My time at Halstead began by singing at my friend's wedding in 2006. I was approached to work with the Adult Choir for the Christmas period for five weeks. After that time, I was lucky enough to be asked to join permanently with the Adult and Youth Choirs.
Before working with Halstead singers I studied voice and piano, followed by Teacher Training at Canterbury Christ Church University. In 1995 I began to teach music in a secondary school in Orpington where I still work. My time there has led me to become a Head of Year as well as a music teacher. During my career, I also worked as a music specialist in primary school and provided private tuition in voice, piano and theory for 6 years.
During my 'free time' I have over the years enjoyed performing with the BBC Singers and Bob Chilcott, Croydon Philharmonic Choir, Croydon Bach Choir, Opera Nova and Poscimur (a cathedral choir) taking me to St George's Chapel, Windsor, St Paul's Cathedral, Rochester Cathedral, Southwark Cathedral, Lambeth Palace and Westminster Abbey.
Other than music, when I can fit it all in, I enjoy holidays, trying to grow my own vegetables and being a mum!
