About Us

We are two Church of England (Anglican) parishes in the Sevenoaks Deanery of the Diocese of Rochester, within the Canterbury Province. St Katharine's and St Margaret's came together in 1983 as a United Benefice under one parish priest. Our pattern of services reflects the fact that we are two parishes working closely together.

Seeking to be simple, parish churches in lively village settings, we are here to minister to each and every person who lives in Knockholt, Halstead and Badgers Mount. We teach the faith of Jesus Christ as explained in the Bible and aim to draw people closer to our God Who created us and Who loves us.

Our aim through this website is to provide extensive up-to-date information on all that is happening across our United Benefice and in our churches and villages for our current parishioners. There is also a wealth of information focussed on giving an insight into the active work of the two churches for those interested in moving to the area. As you might expect, our churches are thriving with fascinating history dating back hundreds of years. Local historians have written historical accounts of both churches which are available for the respective churches using the links on the left.

We encourage you to visit the website regularly so that you can keep up to speed on all that is going on. Most importantly we hope you will find things of interest here, but if you should think of anything that you feel we ought to consider adding to the site, we are always appreciative to receive your feedback.
